For days, Toyota has been in the headlines. The news coverage and problems don’t seem to be lessening. In NBC’s nightly news tonight, Toyota was number 1, calling this a US automakers dream.
Today the Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood didn’t make the situation any better. Early Wednesday morning he announced, during a hearing on Capitol Hill, that Toyota drivers (of the recall vehicles) should “stop driving it and take it to a dealer.” Even though his statement was soon reversed, he left many Toyota drivers in panic.

Toyota’s biggest feat will be bringing back the customers. Toyota has lost millions in the last few days and their future isn’t looking much brighter. It will be interesting to see how they steer the profits back up.

We believe the stockholders will be talking to reporters in Japan tomorrow. We will be waiting to hear.
